01 Testing scope
What is in your compressed air?
Compressed air can carry contaminants into products, packaging, and equipment. Choose the tests your process needs, with support from SOLVE to define the package.
01/ CONTAMINANT
Particles
Compressed air particle testing checks for solid particles at the sampled outlet.
03/ CONTAMINANT
Oil
Compressed air oil testing checks for aerosol, vapor, or both, depending on your package.
02/ CONTAMINANT
Water and moisture
Compressed air moisture testing measures water content using the selected method, such as pressure dew point.
04/ CONTAMINANT
Microorganisms
Compressed air microbial testing checks for viable microbial contamination through sampling and laboratory analysis.
ISO 8573 compressed air testing
Our ISO 8573 testing services are matched to your specified air quality limits. ISO 8573-1 compressed air testing evaluates the particle, water, and oil categories against the purity classes your team selects.
For microbial analysis, ISO 8573-7 testing is specified separately, with microbial limits agreed before sampling. Compressed air purity testing does not automatically include microbial testing.

02 THE RIGHT OUTLET - THE RIGHT TIME
Why test at the point of use?
Air quality can change as air passes through treatment equipment and distribution piping. Point-of-use compressed air testing checks the air at the outlets used by your process.
Check whether sampled outlets meet your air quality requirements.
Identify any tested outlets that need investigation.
Evaluate air quality after corrective action.
Maintain results and sampling records for quality reviews and audits.
When do you need compressed air testing?
Establishing a baseline
Understand air quality at selected outlets before setting up a routine testing program.
Planning periodic testing
Arrange recurring tests at intervals defined by your site’s risks, previous results, and requirements.
Installing or changing a system
Assess testing needs after installation, modification, or maintenance that could affect air quality.
Investigating an unexpected result
Check affected outlets and plan retesting after corrective action.
03 FROM SCOPE TO RESULTS
How SOLVE performs the work?
01
Define the tests
We review how air is used, your outlets, existing specifications, and the reason for testing. Your team approves the tests and acceptance criteria before sampling.
02
Prepare for the visit
We review how air is used, your outlets, existing specifications, and the reason for testing. Your team approves the tests and acceptance criteria before sampling.
03
Sample at your facility
SOLVE performs onsite compressed air sampling and records the outlet IDs and sampling conditions.
04
Arrange laboratory analysis
We coordinate laboratory analysis for the samples collected. Your quotation confirms the tests and expected reporting timeline.
05
Review the results
We compare results with your requirements and discuss any findings that need attention, including possible investigation or retesting.

04 DOCUMENTED RESULTS
What you recieve?
Receive results for each tested outlet, a comparison with your air quality requirements, and a review of any findings that need attention.
Your quote confirms the records and reports included in your project:
Sampling records identifying the outlets and sampling conditions.
Laboratory reports for the analyses performed.
Results compared with your requirements for the tests completed.
A findings summary highlighting any results that need attention.
A results review with your team to discuss next steps.
Results describe the sampled outlets under the conditions recorded during testing. Additional investigation, corrective-action support, and retesting can be quoted separately.
YOUR APPLICATION
Testing for your manufacturing application
Pharmaceuticals and biotechnology
Pharmaceutical compressed air testing supports checks on air used in manufacturing and around product-contact equipment. We align GMP compressed air testing with your site’s approved specifications and quality procedures.
Food and beverages
Need food grade compressed air testing? We define the tests around how air contacts your food, beverages, packaging, or equipment and the requirements your site needs to meet. The report records test results; it does not certify a universal food-grade status.
Nutraceuticals and cosmetics
Check compressed air used around ingredients, finished products, and packaging, with tests selected for your manufacturing application.
Compressed air testing in California
Planning compressed air testing in the San Francisco Bay Area or elsewhere in California? Share your location and target date so we can confirm site coverage, scheduling, and travel charges.
05 SCOPE-BASED PRICING
What does compressed air testing cost?
Compressed air testing cost depends on the number of outlets, tests, laboratory analysis, site access, travel, and reporting needs. Your written quote identifies what is included and any separate charges.
