Actuated valves & actuators

Actuators/ Actuated
Product Description:

Actuated valves and actuators are used to enable automated control of fluid and gas flow within process, utility, and support systems. Actuators are mounted to valve bodies to provide controlled opening and closing, supporting process automation, sequencing, and interlocks.

Selection is based on valve type, required torque or thrust, response time, available utilities (air or power), and control architecture.

Technical Specifications:

Actuator types:

  • Pneumatic actuators (single-acting, double-acting)

  • Electric actuators

Control options:

  • On/off control

  • Modulating control

  • Position feedback and limit switches

Torque / thrust capability:

  • Application-dependent, matched to valve size and service

Operating pressure (pneumatic):

  • Typically 60–100 PSI instrument air

Power supply (electric):

  • Common industrial voltages (application dependent)

Materials of construction:

  • Aluminum or stainless steel actuator housings

  • Stainless steel valve bodies for sanitary service

Mounting standards:

  • ISO mounting interfaces

Design considerations:

  • Manual override capability

  • Fail-safe configurations (spring return)

  • Compatibility with control systems and automation platforms
